Off the A144 London Road near the Halesworth Methodist Church The Rifle Hall was left in trust (The Rifle Hall Trust) for the benefit of Halesworth in 1862 in memory of Andrew Johnson a prominent Halesworth banker and commander of the 7th Suffolk Rifle Company. It was originally built in 1792 as "The Halesworth Theatre" and was only known as "The Rifle Hall" after Andrew Johnson's death.
