This is the level crossing from the east side. At some point this crossing was available to vehicles, but the main gate has long been fenced off and only the pedestrian gate is available. Dobroyd Road is recorded as a public footpath. It has the appearance of a well constructed carriage road. The road leads towards Image from the direction of Todmorden town centre, although it is shown on maps which predate the construction of Dobroyd Castle.
