This appaling eyesore at the junction of Longford Road, Windmill Road and Dovedale Avenue is what remains of the Ritz Cinema which latterly specialised in showing Asian films but has lain derelict for several years. A Coventry City Council report published in 2007, looking at options for redeveloping the site, states 'the condition of the building creates a feeling of neglect and dilapidation, which is hampering the otherwise successful regeneration of the area'.
