There was a large dyeworks here, but by 2000 it had been empty and become derelict. Demolition started before this photo of the front was taken, and very little is left now. Planning permission has been granted for housing on the site, which lies between the River Aire and the Leeds Liverpool Canal, beside Pollard Lane.
