This magnificent building was designed by H F Lockwood in 1877-8 for the Wakefield and Barnsley Union Bank. The bank later became home to the ill-fated Wakefield Building Society. In the 1970s The Society merged with the Halifax Building Society. Recently it was home to the Exclusive Café Bar. Listed grade II Building. (57-59 Westgate). See Image
