Leek is a thriving market town which is well known for its antique shops. The immediate residential area stretches from Birchall to the Buxton Road and includes two primary schools and one high school.
Going out towards the west of the town centre, there are another five schools and a number of leisure facilities including two 18 hole golf clubs, Ladderedge Country Park and Leek Town Football Club.
Haregate is a residential area just outside Leek town centre. There is a bustling community centre which hosts many activities including a toddlers group and other clubs. There are two parks and two primary schools together with other amenities such as shops and the Leek Leisure Centre.
