We police over 1,500 square miles; are home to a significant transport network including the M27 and M3, key rail hubs and two international airports; and critical national infrastructure.

Four Marks is a large village with an approx population of 4,000 residents on the western side of Alton and is surrounded by beautiful rural countryside and large areas of agricultural land. There are several light industrial estates providing a large proportion of employment within the beat area.
The majority of housing is owner occupied with a small proportion of social housing. Currently there are no residents classed as prolific persistent offenders and none with anti social behaviour orders.
The neighbourhood has a very low crime rate with the highest proportion of crime being generally minor criminal damage, theft and non- dwelling burglaries (from sheds, out buildings, barns etc). Violent crime is low, the majority being minor offences against the person (assaults). Incidents of low level public disorder and nuisance, including rowdy and inconsiderate behaviour, are recorded in small numbers.
