This Safer Neighbourhood area covers Duffield, Idridgehay, Holloway Alderwasley, Blackbrook, Cowers Lane and Hazelwood. It belongs to the Amber Valley Local Policing Unit.
Duffield is a large village set in the Derwent valley about four and a half miles north of Derby. There are a variety of shops in the village centre, several inns and a sports club. The village also has both a primary and a secondary school. It has its own railway station with regular services to Derby.
