PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
GP FUNDHOLDERS' BUDGETS (24 February 1993)
Motion Details
That this House is appalled at the situation where Trafalgar Medical Services, the first fund holding general practice in Sheffield, has exhausted its budget for hospital care, and can no longer buy any non-urgent treatment for its 12,000 patients until next April, thus denying these people full access to the National Health Service; further calls on the Government to require the accounts of fund holding general practitioners to be open to public scrutiny; and requests the Committee of Public Accounts to investigate this outrageous situation where budgets are managed by juggling patients' needs.
