PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER AND ECONOMIC POLICY (3 February 1993)
Motion Details
That this House expresses grave concern that Government sources are apparently more prepared to answer questions from the editor of the Sunday Times about the government's economic policy than they are the questions of honourable Members of this House; notes that the Government is perceived to be so weak that the only thing more frightening than having the current Chancellor in place is the prospect that the Prime Minister might be in charge, and in any case considers the Chancellor has no credibility and the Government has no economic policy; and considers that their incompetence is delaying recovery and costing hundreds of people their jobs and livelihoods every day.
