PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
RESCUE AMERICA AND FAMILY PLANNING CLINICS (No. 2) (28 March 1993)
Motion Details
That this House notes with alarm the visit to the United Kingdom of Rescue America, an organisation violently opposed to contraception, sex education and abortion, with the intention of picketing the Planned Parenthood Federation and Health Service clinics offering facilities for abortion; notes that the extreme and violent tactics of Rescue America are well documented and include assault, arson, chemical attacks and most recently the cold blooded murder at point blank range of Dr David Gunn in Florida; believes that the presence of Rescue America in Britain represents a threat to public order as well as to the lives of men and women going about their lawful business; and calls upon the Home Secretary to deport all members of this organisation immediately and ensure that they are not granted entry rights to Britain in future.
