WATER DISCONNECTIONS IN KENT (11 March 1993)
Motion Details
That this House is appalled at the report of 11th March that water disconnections to homes served by Mid Kent Water Company are running at 50 per week, and congratulates Canterbury District Council in calling for 'a statutory ban on disconnections of domestic dwellings' in the light of 'the potentially serious consequences to public health which may arise from disconnection' of water supplies; and calls on the Government to take urgent action to make the disconnection of water in domestic homes illegal.
