SPORTS FUNDING FOR THE DEAF AND THE ROLE OF THE BRITISH DEAF SPORTS COUNCIL (4 March 1993)
Motion Details
That this House recognises the work of the British Deaf Sports Council which has promoted and developed the sports interests of deaf people for the last 60 years; believes that deaf people are entitled to their full and proper share of public resources available to promote and provide sporting activities and that the British Deaf Sports Council is the organisation best able to advocate this case and to represent deaf sports people; and calls on the Government and the Sports Council to make effective arrangements to enable the British Deaf Sports Council to speak directly on behalf of their members and to be given an equitable share of available resources in recognition of the vital developmental and promotional role which they play.
