PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
ATTENDANCE ALLOWANCE: SPECIAL RULES (14 April 1993)
Motion Details
That this House accepts the good intention of the Secretary of State for Social Security in providing special rules to accelerate payments to claimants who are not expected to live longer than six months; is suprised however at his insensitivity in including this wording in a claim pack issued to claimants or their relatives, who thereby sometimes learn for the first time that they are terminally ill; and calls upon him to review and revise this wording at the earliest opportunity.
