PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
BRITISH TELECOM AND SERVICE CONTRACTING IN PROPOSALS (30 June 1993)
Motion Details
That this House congratulates British Telecom for at long last introducing an 'opt in' solution to problems caused by telephone sexlines; regrets that it has taken almost seven years, since the honourable Member for Worsley first suggested it, for this to be introduced; is concerned that the long delay has caused immeasurable harm to many people; regrets that it will be a year before full implementation; but is, nonetheless, pleased that the demise of the most sordid premium rate services is now in prospect.
