Immigration Status of Julius Alexander (22 January 1990)

Motion Details

That this House wishes Julius Alexander who comes from St. Vincent a happy 1990 and calls on the Home Secretary to join in the celebrations by withdrawing the deportation order against him; notes that Julius's mother and two brothers have lived in Britain for 20 years and that Julius himself is married and settled in Dalston, Hackney, with his wife Maureen and their small children; and believes that the five year ordeal of Julius to remain in Britain should be brought to an end and that the Home Secretary should, in exercising his discretion in favour of Julius and his family, listen to the voice and pleas of the local community and of Julius's neighbours.
