Boroughbridge 1st railway station (site), Yorkshire
Opened in 1847 by the North eastern railway as the terminus of its line from Pilmoor, this station closed to passengers in 1875 when the line was extended through to Knaresborough, although it continued in use as a goods station until closure of the line in 1964. A replacement passenger station was opened at Kirby Hill, about 300m to the west. View east at the former station forecourt, which is now within an industrial estate.

Boroughbridge Station (remains)
View NE, towards Pilmoor; ex-NER Pilmoor - Knaresborough branch, which was closed as early as 25/9/50, although open for goods Brafferton - Knaresborough until 5/10/64. (The two large water-tanks are prominent).
