Droitwich Canal Restoration - pipes
A supply of pipes for the bywash pipeline that was installed in the towpath alongside the canalised River Salwarpe to link the two canals and keep them separate from the river water. This project was finished by July 2011 and the canals are now in use.

The canalisation of the River Salwarpe - remaining shallow
This photograph encompasses the section that remains to be dredged - about 50 yards. The new towpath is on the opposite bank on top of sheet piling and contains the bywash pipeline.

Canalisation of the River Salwarpe
This is the dredging of the last few yards of the Salwarpe and apart from a few minor issues will finish the link between the Droitwich Junction and Droitwich Barge Canals. It's been a long haul but the grand opening is in July 2011. I came to droiwich in 1977 and there was a society raising funds then - it must be most gratified that the job got done.
