Road to Picken End
Leading eastward off from the Welland Road. This is now a dead end, but footpaths continue what may have been old routeways. "End"s are common around this part of Worcestershire. There are several in the Hanley Swan area, each representing a hamlet sized area of dwellings within the disbursed community. There are Gilbert's End, Robert's End, Haylers end and Blackmore End all within a mile.

The Ewe and Lamb, Hanley Swan
Once a lovely and ancient pub. Alas no more; much of the land has gone over to new development and someone has gained a wonderful timber framed home. The green has been retained as an open space by the parish council.

Council Houses, Hanley Swan
Probably built between the wars as agricultural workers cottages. Located on the Welland Road between Picken End road (to the right) and The Ewe & Lamb pub to the left. Large gardens, but no garages. Many will have been bought up and sold on as private houses.
