Spectator cover, Edge Green Street, Ashton Town FC
Another view of the spectator cover occupying the south side of the ground. Edge Green Street has been the home of Ashton Town since 1964. The club were founder members of the North West Counties Football League in 1982, remaining there until relegated from Division 1 at the end of the 2016-17 season. This photograph was taken on the last day of their relegation season, when they entertained Carlisle City and registered a 3-2 win, only their fifth of the season. Only a handful of these seats were occupied during the game, which boasted an attendance of 39 souls.
