Modern houses on The Avenue, Kew
Modern describes a collection of styles mainly using straight lines and large areas of windows. It is not related to the age as the movement began around the turn of the 19th century and very few modern houses have been built since the 1980s in Britain, reverting to copies of Victorian and Edwardian designs across most new estates and small builds.
