This steel sculpture was recently erected outside the Redcar and Cleveland borough council offices in Rectory Lane. On this face the lights depict the contours of the local landscape which looks very much like Roseberry Topping. If it is Roseberry then only half of it is in Redcar & Cleveland, the other half being in North Yorkshire. The lights change colours from blue through green, red, orange and yellow. On the other face is a similar design but of the artist's finger print. The sculpture was created by Callum Sinclair of Glasgow.

Rectory Lane
The building opposite was built in 1879 and was the Providence School. Now it is the Territorial Social club. When it was used as a school this road was known as Providence Street but has since become an extension of Rectory Lane.

Former Providence School
The building opposite was built in 1879 as the Providence School. Now it is the Territorial Social club. The road and junction is new, built in the last few years to provide access to Focus DIY Store and others built on the site of Blackett Hutton Foundry. The road crossing left to right was originally called Providence Street but has since become an extension of Rectory Lane.

Rectory Lane
The building on the right originally I think the reception block for the Hutton Blackett Foundry. It is now known as HCL House after its occupants Hutton Chemicals Ltd. The foundry has long since been demolished and replaced by the two story modern office block on the left. The row of houses left centre are also office units.
