Bus to Redruth
A surprise arrival in a well-illuminated scene was 44968 heading for Redruth. This vehicle is an Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 belonging to First Kernow.

Devoran - level crossing gateposts
On the edge of Devoran village, these two granite gateposts once held the crossing gates on the Redruth and Chasewater Railway where it crossed the road from Truro to Penryn and Falmouth. Although the railway closed in 1915 and the metals were taken up in 1919, one of the crossing gates survived here until very recently. The gatekeper's house was demolished in the 1970s.
