Lauder Health Centre
This new health centre in Crofts Road was opened in August 2013. The building, constructed on the site of a play area, replaced older facilities in the town. A new improved play area was provided nearby on the northwest side of the recreation ground at Manse Road.

Buildings alongside lane in Lauder
The lane, which is on the far side of the wall at the left side of the image, connects Crofts Road to the High Street (A68) in Lauder, reaching that road beside a pub named the Golden Bannock.

A play area at Crofts Road, Lauder
This play area between Crofts Road and the recreation ground is due to be removed to make way for a new health centre in a joint project with Scottish Borders Council and NHS Borders. The existing play area is to be replaced with a new and improved play area on the northwest side of the recreation ground. The proposed developments in this area have still to be finalised, as an action group called Protect Our Greenfield Site (POGS) have opposed the plans on the grounds that it will reduce the green space in the town.
