Currys PC World, Princes Street, Southend
The part of Princes Street north of London Road is now occupied by a retail park which includes Pets at Home and Homebase as well as Currys. The site used to be covered by Southend Corporation's electricity generating station and tram (later bus and trolleybus) depot.

Tower block at Victoria Circus, Southend
This tower block lies opposite Southend Museum (visible just below centre). Despite its size, it seems anonymous with no well-displayed name as many of these blocks do. The dark area at the top right is the roof of the bus shelter on Queensway.
