Pylon 4YC36 on Broom Hill, Eastleigh
These 400 KV lines carry about 700 MW of power from Lovedean to Nursling main grid electricity substations. The lines here turn through 66 degrees, necessitating an asymmetrical pylon with longer and broader arms on the outer (lefthand) side of the turn. The line of pylons runs parallel to the M3 motorway in an area of scrub and woodland which is the remains of Boyatt Wood.
