Tadpole Farm, North of Swindon
This picture was taken from the Broad Blunsdon to Purton road, which divides the square and marks the northern boundary of Swindon housing development. South of this road is a new housing estate, north of the road is still countryside (but for how long?)

Field margin by the River Ray, Blunsdon
The river is in the foreground flowing north to join the Thames at Cricklade at couple of kilometres or so away. Much of its content is cleaned and polished effluent from the quite modern Swindon sewage treatment works south of here.

Field near the Swindon and Cricklade Railway, Blunsdon
The field is usually full of cattle at this time of year. However they have been moved out temporarily to make way for car parking at its southern end.
