Poynton station, Chester Road
The Manchester and Birmingham Railway opened a stretch of line through Poynton in 1845, which today is the London-Manchester main line. According to the date stone, Poynton station was built in 1887. Presently classed as a locally important building, it may be upgraded to grade II listing in the future.
