The Metropolitan Tabernacle at Elephant & Castle
This large Independent Reformed Baptist church was the largest non-conformist church edifice of its day when built in 1861.The original frontage and portico has survived a major fire in 1898 and bombing during WWII and was rebuilt in 1957.
