Lovell's Wharf, phase 2
Behind the hoarding, phase 2 of the residential Lovell's Wharf development was in construction. For a couple of years there was no access along the riverside at all alongside this development, but as a result of local protests this temporary path was reopened in early 2013.

Granite Wharf development, Greenwich
The first block on the former Granite Wharf site. The site is so named because of the stone trade carried out there, and it is famous for where the Swanage Globe
Image was made. Because of the 2008/9 recession the rest of the site was still vacant.

Pipers Wharf, Greenwich - land side
A view through a hole in the hoarding along the narrow footpath
Image that since the 2012 Olympics has been called Olympian Way. The site was until recently a barge building works, and had been since around 1900. It is fated to become the next phase of the riverside housing development, of which one phase can be seen to the right under construction.

Temporary memorial to Genson Courtney
Genson Courtney, a drug dealer, had fallen out with his uncle. The uncle executed him with a single close range shot through the eye as he was getting into his car, on 3 July 2011, about four months before this view. The uncle and his getaway driver were sentenced to a minimum of 31 years after a trial in 2013. The family and their associates appear to have been a violent and forceful crowd, and possibly still are. I wonder how Jurkman were persuaded to incorporate this into their hoarding?
