Sam's Lane leading to Hannah
The name is long lost off the maps but known locally as Sam's Lane. The local children have re-christened it 'Rat Lane' to add a bit of excitement to their locality. It is likely that houses will be built here in the near future so the lane is likely to disappear or change in character.

Snowman!
At almost 6' tall and with an angry face he'll surely scare the kids! He has the look of the BFG about him! (Roch Castle is seen a mile or so beyond the trees).

Ruined Farmstead known as Hannah in Simpson Cross
In the copse to the right lies piles of stones - all that remains of 'Hannah' a farmstead occupied for decades in the 19th century by the Meyler family. Hannah is mentioned in works kept in the National Library of Wales and was first made mention of in the 14th century when it was known as Haen Hoc (meaning High Hook) It eventually changed into Hannah over the centuries but disappeared by about 1900.In the distance lies Plumstone Mountain.
