Crombies Land, Inveraray
This row of houses was built between 1822 and 1825. Neil Munro, the well known Scottish writer and author of the Para Handy tales, was born here in 1863 in the two storey building at the end of the row.

Fisher Row - Crombies's Land
The two storey building at the end of the row was the birthplace in 1863 of Neil Munro the poet and novelist. As a child and young man he would have been familiar with the puffers and steamers plying their trade in the Clyde. The town saw prosperity from the herring fishing.

Drinking fountain
The 1893 fountain in Church Square is the work of sculptor Peter Smith. The inscription reads: PRESENTED TO THE BURGH OF INVERARAY BY THE REV'D NIEL MACPHERSON M.A. MINISTER OF THE PARISH 1893 "HE SENDETH THE SPRINGS INTO THE VALLEYS WHICH RUN AMONG THE HILLS"
