Tramway junction at Mumps
This is where the new alignment through the town centre rejoins the current line along the old railway. All the rail is on hand to create the new layout, and just a single point has been installed to allow test-running trams to be moved onto the new section in advance.

Ripe for redevelopment - The former bank at Mumps in Oldham
Lancashire's Victorian banks were pillars of the commercial establishment.Built in the days when Oldham was flushed with municipal pride and textile cash, this example now stands crest fallen and deserted. For this former branch there might however be hope. Photographed from the newly opened Metrolink Oldham Mumps Interchange - trams will stop at its front door for eighteen hours a day seven days a week. A future as a new part of Oldham's night economy,an all day pub/cafe,or a convenience store beckons. Surrounded by vacant lots this building could benefit from being from estate agents describe as being "handy for commuters".
