Roade Cutting
A view north of Roade Cutting from the Hyde Road bridge. The four track West Cost Main Line splits north of the cutting, with the right hand pair of tracks heading for Northampton, while the left hand tracks carry on to Rugby, where the Northampton tracks rejoin the main line.

West Coast Main Line: Roade Cutting (1)
When it was completed in 1838 the cutting was regarded as a major engineering achievement. This is the view looking north from the Hyde Road bridge. The Northampton Loop lines are on the right, and have already separated from the main line to Rugby on the left.
