Track on Spinney Hill (2)
This former road is no longer recognisable as such; presumably the A60 was diverted from this alignment a good many years ago. With the steepness of this hill, descending which was somewhat challenging, realignment is understandable.

Bridleway crossing the A52
A very busy road with fast-moving traffic which was a challenge to cross safely on foot. I cannot see a horse rider ever wanting to risk this crossing.

Old Road crosses the new
The old pack horse road crosses the modern dual carriageway of the Nottingham Ring Road at this point. The railings are not a complete barrier but serve as protection particularly to equestrians by forcing a dog-leg path.

Footpath to Sharphill Wood
This does not appear on any current maps, but appears to well established, to such a degree that it should at the time of writing have been added to the definitive map as a right of way.
