Manchester Town Hall Extension
One of the Oriels at the grade II* listed building that is the Town Hall extension of 1938. This was one of the subjects of the group in Image - I did it after they left.

Library Walk (Mount Street)
Work on the £3.5m link between the town hall and library, is almost complete - but the automatic glass doors, closed from 10pm - 7am - and a gate at Mount Street, can't be installed until permission is granted. Manchester Town Hall Extension: Opening inscription
On the wall at the Mount Street end of Library Walk is an inscription under a royal coat of arms that reads: GEORGE VI BY THE GRACE OF GOD OF GREAT BRITAIN IRELAND AND OF THE BRITISH DOMINIONS BEYOND THE SEAS KING DEFENDER OF THE FAITH EMPEROR OF INDIA OPENED THIS BUILDING ON THE EIGHTEENTH DAY OF MAY IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 1938
