18 & 20 Mercer Row, Louth
A late 18th century building, originally a single house, but now divided into two retail units at street level. The nearest one is no 18 and has a modified version of its former bow window, whilst the further no 20 retains the original glazing bars which are now quirkily misshapen and very distinctive. The whole place was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101359911-18-and-20-mercer-row-louth#.Y9wu9HbP3IU & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1359911 in 1954.

Mercer Row, and the Reindeer Buildings
View from the west. See also: Image The 1931 Reindeer Buildings are now home to the Yorkshire Building Society. The name is a reminder of the Old Reindeer Inn, demolished in 1931. The top floor was for some time the Reindeer Snooker Hall. See also http://www.culturegrid.org.uk/static/showResource/3882494: "PRN 45708 Eighteenth century rendered building, three storeys high. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. It is very probable that the listing given for this building is incorrect and refers to 13 Mercer Row. This building (number 11) has a date plaque stating that this is Reindeer Buildings 1931. It is a two storey brick building with a pantile roof. This information is being sent to English Heritage by East Lindsey District Council so they can revisit the listing." The top part of Reindeer Buildings was registered as a place of worship until 1998: http://www.london-gazette.co.uk/issues/55276/notices/5SI/all=Louth. The coloured bunting is a celebration of the Queen's jubilee year.
