A nature reserve has been established on what used to be the village cricket ground. The information board states: "The land, which was formerly owned by the church, used to be the site of the village cricket pitch and has been used for church festivals, picnics and conker gathering. The new plantation aims to reflect this history and retain the 'parkland' feel."
