Grassy area at Franklyn Fields
The houses are on Highgrove Crescent in Aylestone.
This 15 acre site is up for sale for the construction of 80-100 new houses. It was once earmarked for a park-and-ride terminal.

Monsell Gardens in Aylestone
This block of '17 luxury apartments' is on the corner of Monsell Drive and Lutterworth Road. They were originally built in around 2007, and at the time this photo was taken had lain empty for 12 years, having never been lived in.
They will be demolished and a proposed 60 bed care home for dementia patients built on the site, due to be complete in 2021.
