House on Station road
More like two houses which may have been to do with the station at one time, the Esso garage you can see on the right belongs to the Co-op convenience store.
This used to be Temperance Hotel. Back in the 1920's in R.H. side of the building a booking clerk from the station lived there with his wife. A slaughter house used to be up the lane that runs by the R.H.side of the old Temperance Hotel & to the R.H.side of the lane there used to be a field in which the animals that were going to slaughter were put.

No longer a 'Little Chef'
Always a favourite stop-off for us for breakfast when heading south, the 'Little Chef' at Builth Wells closed its doors in 2018. The premises are now being operated by a small company which served us with a very agreeable breakfast! For some years, the 'Little Chef' was co-located with 'Burger King' which remains at the site.

Track on the railway
