It allows local authority maintenance vehicles access to the park and provides vehicular access to the rear of properties which are in Ossian Crescent. From this direction the road forks - left leads to Methil Brae and right leads to parking area/garages.

These houses, off Kirkland Road, Methil, are built on the site of East Fife Football Club's original football ground, Bayview Park. The name of the access road to the development is a clue to this - it's 'The Turnstiles'.
