The Constitutional Hall was built in 1890. It began screening films from 1905. After 1918, it had other uses in the weekdays, and screened films on Saturdays only. During World War II it was used as a school during weekdays, and cinema use continued on Saturdays. The Saturday only cinema use continued until it closed in 1946.
