Thornton Park Farm
A bridleway and a public footpath leave Ash Hall Lane from the same spot - it is the footpath that heads for the farm across a pasture, although there is no physical evidence of one on the ground.

Footpath across a field to Thornton Park Farm, Soyland
This path, now invisible, was, on the 1850 map, the first part of a track to a quarry, and Thornton Park Farm did not exist. By the 1893 map the farm had been built and the footpath is shown along the edge of a field ending at the farm. The field boundary has gone and the right-of-way now goes to the left end of the house and down the driveway to Ash Hall Lane. I didn't bother walking the path, so can't say whether there is a stile into the garden.

Hall Lane at Ash Hall Lane, Soyland
Like most of the lanes around here, this is on the 1850 six-inch map.

Hall Lane, Soyland
The land to the left has been a tip, and is now used for storage. Vegetation has encroached on the left side of the lane.

Hall Lane, Soyland
After the lane at Image there is a bend to the right. This view is looking back up to the bend, and you can see how high the rather ugly tip is.

Stile at the side of Hall Lane, Soyland
This is near to the viewpoint for Image A footpath to Wicking Lane is shown on the 1893 1:2500 map, although not on the 1850 six-inch map. Both maps show another path opposite to this one, going south to Eccles Parlour at Mount Pleasant. The 1893 map captions that one 'F.P.'. However neither path is on the rights-of-way map.

Footpath on driveway to Wicking Hall Farm, Soyland
I did not attempt to walk this path as I had already passed where the other end should be and could not find it. The rights-of-way map and satellite image show that three sheds have been built over it at Moat Hall.
