They might have very posh stables but the clock doesn't work this photo was taken at 11:40am.

Dalton Hall, South Dalton
Seen across its large park, the current house was built 1771-76 to the designs of Thomas Atkinson for Sir Charles Hotham, but altered in some of the details in 1872-77 by Payne & Talbot. It is built of grey-white brick. Grade II* listed.
Atkinson (?1729-98), a mason by trade, became "one of the leading architects in Yorkshire" (Howard Colvin) during the last third of the C18th. This does not seem to prevented him from dying insolvent, but one of his four sons continued the business, and two others were also masons. Thomas designed country houses, churches, town houses and several public buildings.

Western exit to Dalton Park
From Park Road it becomes Park Lane beyond the gate and cattle grid. Estate cottages to the right the farm is behind the hedge on the left.
