Flood level markers at the Bunch of Carrots pub
Hampton Bishop lies between the River Wye and the Lugg. The highest flood level was recorded in 1960 when the Wye flooded the pub to a depth of two feet. In 2007 it was the turn of the Lugg with levels registering just one foot. The linked picture shows The Stank flood defences which protect the pub from the Wye. Image

Bunch of Carrots (Hampton Bishop)
Here is a popular public house by the B4224 road, the only pub left in Hampton Bishop. The name of this pub always made me laugh as a child, and I still haven't found a pub with the same name since (nor have I laughed at a new pub name since!). The pub is situated by the River Wye, and here it is from the B4224 road.
