Parish Boundary Marker by the UC road, in parish of Kirkburton (Kirklees District), Thunder Bridge over Shepley Dike brook, names at each end of parapet. Thunderbridge, Shelley, Yorkshire
The river is here called Thunder Bridge Dike. It is the boundary between Shelley on the left and Thurstonland on the right. This view is looking upstream towards the bridge, the arch of which is partly obscured by a sewage pipe on brick piers.
