Broadstreet Common
Oak trees and scrub on the common. These commons are on a narrow band of London clay which is anything but free draining, so the grassland is typically rank and matted. This has also protected them from development as they tend to get waterlogged in winter.

Broadstreet Cottages
This row of Edwardian cottages has an outlook to both back and front over the expanse of Broadstreet Common, now protected for its ecological importance. There are a considerable number of small ponds in the area, the result of digging the London Clay for brick-making.
