Buffer stop and the end of Great Western Road
The area between Great Western Road and the dock entrance was once occupied by railway sidings. Now the remaining tracks are isolated from the main network and largely hidden by vegetation.

Sharpness dock picnic area
Visitors to Sharpness docks can sit in the picnic area by the sea lock and watch boats arriving and departing at high tide. The picnic area also offers a great view south to the Severn bridges and Oldbury power station.
