Tram in Fleetwood
Open-top car No 706 recedes from the camera as it travels southwards through the streets of Fleetwood. This car soon had its pantograph removed (and replaced by a trolley pole) as it was found that passengers at the rear end of the top deck were subject to particles falling due to the passage of the pantograph under the wire.

'Centenary' car 642 is one of a batch of 8 One-person-operated cars built in the 1980s to maintain an all-year service. It may never be seen in Fleetwood again.

North Albert Street, Fleetwood, Lancashire
It's Tuesday in Fleetwood, which is Market Day, so there are always plenty of passengers for the (rather decrepit-looking) tram.

Moving the Market crowds
Tuesday is Market Day in Fleetwood, which accounts for the large number of people waiting to board Balloon car No 723 in North Albert Street. This car still exists as an active member of the Blackpool fleet, and is one of the very few cars which have a smart appearance, being presented in green and cream fleet livery.

Tram in North Albert Street, Fleetwood
'Balloon' car No 722 has had a small 'V' added on the front panel by an over-enthusiastic member of the painting crew. This was removed fairly soon, on orders 'from above'.

On the right is Fleetwood Market. It's a Tuesday, so there are plenty of passengers for car 721 as it loads at the tram stop. The destination reads 'Talbot Square', so this must be an extra working.
Senior citizens cannot ride free on Blackpool trams (as opposed to buses) unless
they are Lancashire residents.

Corner of North Albert Street and Victoria Street
The building on the right hand corner bears an inscription E1902R which I presume means it is early Edwardian. On the Victoria Street side is an EIIR postbox FY7 44
