Teesdale Way in Middleton One Row
After running through the village the long distance footpath passes a floral extravaganza as it wends its way through several back gardens before dropping down to the River Tees.

A quaint village comprising not surprisingly one row of houses with commanding views down to the Tees.

Middleton One Row
The village is arranged in a line beside a road, rather like a sea front - except they overlook a bank that drops steeply down to woodland that conceals the River Tees.

Across the Tees flood plain
Low lying farmland next to the River Tees, which is hidden behind trees. The large Victorian house on the far bank is at Middleton Low Row, and was no doubt built there so the owners could enjoy the view into Yorkshire.
